We should be thankful that government of Malaysia offer such education loan to students. Everyone is eligible and the interest is only at 4% maximum. I already passed my university days when PTPTN was introduced. I was informed that during their initial launch, each student will be given RM1000 loan upon entering the university.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re undergraduate of postgraduate, you can still apply for PTPTN. Yes, the money is important to you to further your study. There’s a lot of information you can get from their main website, http://www.ptptn.gov.my, such as application form, deferment form etc.

But you must understand that the education or study loan is not free. As we said earlier, the interest rate is 4%. But of course if you manage to get First Class Degree, you can convert the education loan to scholarship. Terms and conditions applied.

Once you finished your study, you have to pay it back. It’s convenient as you can pay it via CIMB or Maybank2u.

Malaysian University English Test (MUET) is a test of English language proficiency, largely for university admissions. The test is set and run by the Malaysian Examinations Council (which also runs the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia examination) and largely recognized only in Malaysia and Singapore.

Most candidates who sit for MUET do so to apply for admissions in public universities and colleges. MUET is largely optional, if considered at all, in applying for admissions in other universities and colleges in Malaysia as well as National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University. Most of those who do consider MUET in admission applications allocate little weight to it. Most universities, including many who offer “twinning” courses with local private colleges, outside these two countries do not consider MUET as an acceptable test for English language proficiency, preferring instead, the IELTS.

Candidates usually have to register via their institution, private candidates with their State Education Department, with a registration fee of RM60. Although Malaysian government has decided to abolish government examination fees from 2007 onwards, MUET will remain as a paid test.

Scholarship

Who say you can’t apply for scholarship? I even know personally, some student from polytechnic who has been sponsored to study overseas. They are fully sponsored to study engineering.

By not giving a chance to enter local university, you can always opt for polytechnic. It will also provide you a benefit that you may not know.

Add Math Project 2009 - Form 5 for SPM

There’s so many response on this blog entry and particularly no answer from me. Simply because I’m not a teacher and I don’t bother to ask my wife about the answers.

I was a Form 5 student back in 1996 and Internet usage is at very minimal.

You guys are lucky, where you can always share your thoughts about things related to education. However, I’m against plagiarism and I don’t believe in copying other people’s answer.

You have been warned. I’m not responsible for any damages done.

P/s: Somebody has been too kind by setup a blog at Google Blogger titled Add Math Project Form 5 Malaysia 2009 . You may find the answer from there and from another source such as  Scribd, another Blogpost (if you can understand Chinese) and phpBB forum.

My wife is a teacher in one of the school in Petaling Jaya. She teaches Additional Mathematics (Add Math) for Form 4 and Form 5.

If you took Science stream in school, you may hate this subject much, unless you’re really good at Mathematics. So, do I.

Every year, she has to supervise the Add Math project to be submitted to Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia (correct me if i’m wrong). In continuity of add math project 2008, here comes 2009.

I understand that sometimes she felt down with the students of the “not-so-excellent” school in the urban city. Even though add math notes and exercise given for homework, very little percentage were able to finish it.

Let’s see whether 2009 brings some good news or not.
